Miniature Rooftop Artist's Studio --

Inspired by a trip to New York, the Thomas’s studio is an aged 20th Century one-room retreat and workspace, built on a city rooftop to take advantage of the light and solitude. The project includes a large windowed wall, and a cityscape of a tarred roof, exposed brickwork, a skylight, vent pipes, and wooden walkway. The interior is finished with flooring, board and batten walls, and overhead “fluorescent” lights. It includes aged easel, one original Noel Thomas miniature watercolor painting, and two tables pictured. It is built in 1/12th scale.

The project is 12”w X 10”d, and is set on a base measuring 19 ½” X 14 ½”.
